Today was a beach day. A beach day full of wasps, hoverflies and minging jawbreakers. Emily decided she wanted to kill us by walking the longest way possible to the beach in hot (british hot) weather. We then took half an hour debating on whether to buy jaw-breakers, mike-a-lite or a jumbo pack of lollies. Eventually we decided on jaw-breakers which turned out to be a complete waste of 20p because one of them was already half eaten and the rest tasted like vomit. After another hike through a scenicroute (another word for Emily's shortcuts) we arrived at the beach. The beach was full of wasps, hoverflies and lady bugs that seemed to be wierdly attracted to our legs. Hoverflies kept landing on me (Rosie) and Emily kept going "Is that a wasp?" and preparing to run away- she has a fear of wasps. Every time i would flick it away and say "Nope, just a hoverfly." untill a wasp really did land on me. I managed to keep my calm and say, "Now thats a wasp." while Emily and I legged it half a mile away to sit on a bench and hopefully get away from the wasps. We sat down, turned our heads and saw that the wasp had stalked us and was sitting next to us on the bench. Then we walked a quicker way home because tbh we couldn't really be arsed to walk any further than that by then.
